Tai Chi Chuan And Qi GongPeaceful World, Happy Earth Tai Chi is the abbreviation for T'ai Chi Chuan which means The Supreme Ultimate Boxing System, an ancient Chinese martial art system which aims at the maintenance of good physical and mental health; it develops physical, mental and spiritual balance through regular practice of forms and breathing techniques while one moves and flows around consciously and carefully in a meditative motion. But traditional Tai Chi is a form of Kung Fu, which means that the forms- once properly understood- can be used for self-defense. Qigong is a form of gentle exercise composed of movements that are repeated a number of times but often stationary- unlike the Tai Chi Chuan forms. The goal of this 3,000 year-old self-healing art is- as the name suggests- the cure of existing ailments and the maintenance of good physical and mental health by learning how to control Chi- the life energy. Tai Chi Qi Gong is easy to learn for anyone interested enough. It is a balanced activity, doesn't demand a bunch of energy nor strain too much your joints and muscles. Tai Chi Qi Gong is pro- health, pro- peace and pro- nature. This is Tai Chi Qi Gong practioners' contribution to our goal of a peaceful world and a happy earth.
